The Germans have us surrounded – the poor bastards!” US Paratrooper at Bastogne, December 1944

US paratroopers were trained to drop deep into enemy territory and seize key positions, attack the enemy rear, block enemy reserves, or delay a retreating enemy. Lightly armed, US Airborne forces had to use their training, courage and initiative against heavy odds. At Bastogne, their heroic defence cemented their legendary reputation for courage and skill.

The platoon consists of a 6 man command squad and two 12 man Airborne Squads which each include a .30cal machine gun team (2 men), 2 NCO's armed with smg's, and 8 riflemen. The variants of miniatures will be as described but the actual figures may vary from those illustrated.
