Conquest Games Norman Infantry

Having already painted a couple of the figures, I decided on a unit of 32 spearmen to add to my existing Norman army. They took about ten days to do, just an hour spent over each evening. I based some of them with Army Painter Leather Brown and some with Desert Yellow.

Except for the tunic and skin, all of the other areas were painted and highlighted. The coloured spray provided the base for most of the tunics except for some that I painted Vallejo Dark Fleshtone (see below). Then the figures got a wash of Army Painter Dark Tone mixed with a wee bit of black.

Once washed, the only additional highlighting needed on most of the figures was the skin. Some tunics got additional work if they looked too flat.

And here is the finished unit with bases, movement tray and flowers! The banner is from Little Big Men.

And, of course, I did a casualty.

Naturally, you can get yourself a box of Norman Infantry in the store, either on their own or as part of one of our Three Box deals.
