Skirmish Rules Translations.

A number of Rules of Engagement players have asked us how compatible the game is with the excellent series of SkirmishCampaign scenario books and how to translate the stats into RoE. SkirmishCampaign scenarios are ideally suited for RoE in most cases and we have included an addition to the Skirmish Rules Translation table below.

Training
(T5 – T1+)

Morale
(E – A+)

Leadership
(none – ***)

Notes

Troop  Experience
T1+ = 3+
T1 = 3+
T2 = 4+
T3 = 4+
T4 = 5+
T5 = 5+

Discipline
A+= 3
A = 3
B = 4
C = 4
D = 5
E = 5

Leadership is
Factored into the Discipline Ratings on the left. However, a squad leader with a ** rating or higher will have one better Discipline than the squad he leads.

Additional factors may be included to represent troop quality from the Special Rules section of the RoE rulebook.

We have also found that you may wish to extend the scenario durations from SkirmishCampaigns by 25% or use 6’x4’ gaming tables.
